I see the lights are turning and I look outside
The stars are burning through this changing time
It could have been anything we want
It's fine, salvation was just a passing thought
It was just a passing thought

Don't wait, act now
This amazing offer won't last long
It's only a chance to pave the path we're on
I know there are more exciting things to talk about
And in time we'll sort it out
And in time we'll sort it out

And though they say it's possible
To me, I don't see how it's probable
I see the course we're on spinning farther from what I know
I'll hold on
Tell me that you won't let go
Tell me that you won't let go

And the truth is such a funny thing
With all these people
Keep on telling me
They know what's best
And what to be frightened of
And all the rest are wrong
They know nothing about us
They know nothing about us

And though they say it's possible
To me, I don't see how it's probable
I see the course we're on spinning farther from what I know
I'll hold on
Tell me that you won't let go
Tell me that you won't let go

I'm not alright

And though they say it's possible
To me, I don't see how it's probable
I see the course we're on spinning farther from what I know
I'll hold on
Tell me that you won't let go

And though they say it's possible
To me, I don't see how it's probable
I see the course we're on spinning farther from what I know
I'll hold on
Tell me that you won't let go
Tell me that you won't let go

This could be something beautiful
Combine our love into something wonderful
But times are tough I know
And the pull of what we can't give up takes hold

That's what Terra sais on youtube: A year after 'Say It's Possible' was featured on Youtube, I was fortunate enough to play my song at the Live Earth London concert at Wembley Stadium.

The song was inspired by Al Gore's film, 'An Inconvenient Truth,' so when I saw him at a party in Los Angeles last February, I gathered my courage and introduced myself. I told him the story of how his film had inspired this song which basically changed my life.

I sent him the links to my video and felt lucky just to have met him. I had no idea that I would later be asked to be part of Live Earth. I am grateful for this incredible opportunity and hope that my experience can encourage other people to dream big and expect the unexpected. Nothing is beyond our reach.

    with love terra

i think this song is about forbidden love... wanting to keep it and trying to hold on and begging not to let go but in the end there are too many things weighing the love down and it is lost.

    I see the lights are turning and I look outside The stars are burning through this changing time {i think these two lines refer to seeing somebody in a new and different light/way than she has before, and as time goes on stars-or little things she loves about this person-are burning bright and drawing attention to them} It could have been anything we want It's fine, salvation was just a passing thought {they could've been together and been what they wanted but being saved-salvation- by eachother was just a passing moment and the thought was quickly looked past because they are 'star-crossed' lovers} It's only a chance to pave the path we're on {i think this is sarcastic..like oh dont worry its ONLY a chance to choose where our lives go from here} And though they say it's possible To me, I don't see how it's probable {they say love conquers all but in this situation with all taht's working against them it just isn't a probability} I see the course we're on spinning farther from what I know {she knows everything as being one way and solid and this course, this love is leading them, spinning them off course from what they both know from whats safe...} I'll hold on Tell me that you won't let go {she'll hold on tight for the ride and try to keep going but she wants confirmation she's not alone..}

    And the truth is such a funny thing With all these people Keep on telling me They know what's best And what to be frightened of {everyone is telling her the problems in the relationship-things to be frightened of...they think know what's best for her even though they aren't in the middle of it and it's based solely on stereotypical situations} And all the rest are wrong They know nothing about us {they may think they know whats best but they are wrong because they don't feel the connection and they arent in the middle of it they know nothing but what they see on the outside}

    This could be something beautiful Combine our love into something wonderful {there is potential for something amazing} But times are tough I know {it is rough dealing with conflicting interests of the mind and the heart..times are tough when your mind tells you somethings wrong but your heart says its right} And the pull of what we can't give up takes hold {the pull of safety and security keeps them from really experiencing this love and it takes a hold of them and holds them down...}

    anyway that's my interpretation! input?

This song, when released by her new major record label, will hit it bigger beyond youtube.com I bet. The melody and her voice is wonderful, that's what makes this song what it is.

So I joined the site just in order to say what this song means.

    It's not about forbidden love.

This song is about global warming, completely about global warming. Re-read the lyrics yourself with that in mind and you will see it.

    hope that helps.

im 99.9% positive that Terra wrote this with global warming in mind.

    thanks, pk

pkpk you are absolutely correct. She played at Live Earth and it was said Al Gore chose her to play this song solely on its meaning about global warming.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
