Share with me the blankets that you're after
Because it's cold outside
It's cold outside

Share with me the secrets that you kept in
Because it's cold inside
It's cold inside

And your slow shaking fingertips show that you're scared like me
So let's pretend we're alone
And I know you may be scared
And I know we're unprepared, but I don't care

Tell me, tell me what makes you think that you are invincible?
I can see it in your eyes that you're so sure
Please don't tell me that I'm the only one that's vulnerable
Impossible

I was born to tell you I love you
Isn't that a song already?
I get a B in originality
And it's true I can't go on without you
Your smile makes me see clearer
If you could only see in the mirror what I see

And your slow shaking fingertips show that you're scared like me
So let's pretend we're alone
And I know you may be scared
And I know you're unprepared, but I don't care

Tell me, tell me what makes you think that you are invincible?
I can see it in your eyes that you're so sure
Please don't tell me that I'm only one that's vulnerable
Impossible

Slow down girl, you're not going anywhere
Just wait around and see
Maybe I'm much more
You never know what lies ahead
I promise I can be anyone, I can be anything

Just because you were hurt, doesn't mean you shouldn't bleed
I can be anyone, anything
I promise I can be what you need
I can be what you need

Tell me, tell me what makes you think that you are invincible?
I can see it in your eyes that you're so sure
Please don't tell me that I'm only one that's vulnerable
Impossible

There are so many people who could relate to this song. It's basically about two people and is the stereotype of most relationships. Where one person is ready to move on and the other person is afraid of feeling vulnerable. great song

meaning is obvious i think. it's about wanting to be with someone. wouldn't any girl love this to be sung to them? i would. the song=amazing. period. it may be their best, but i can't even try to decide that one.

    i love this song.

what i think it means: a boy is absolutely in love with this girl... more than anything. and she cares and feels for him... but it scared to tell him that she loves him too, due to a past heartbreak. she remains distant and cold, and he says he can change if that's what it takes of have her. he loves her, and she's scared, basically.

this really hits home. REALLY. i was in love with a boy once. completely in love. and he broke my heart. and my boyfriend now cares about me more than anything, he says it all the time. he tells me he loves me, he even said that he could change for me. (i never want him to, though). but i'm terrified to tell him i love him because i don't want him or i to get hurt... but i do care about him more than anything. EXACTLY like the song.

    beautiful.

i think this song... is about anorexia. it's kind of odd, but the line "if you could only see in the mirror what i see" kinda of shows that... also, there's the "and your slow shaking fingertips show" cuz people who don't eat tend to shake a lot. i think the guy is telling the girl that he's there for her. she thinks "well, it won't happen to me- i won't get that bad" but... he can see through her plan. and i also think that when it's like "slow down girl- you're not going anywhere" it's saying something about her needing to slow down with her problem. "and it's true i can't go on without you" is talking about how if something happens to her... he can't go on, he won't be able to make it without her.

anyways, i think this song is really sweet...

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
