"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him.
There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
Duermo en un acorde mágico
Y despierto al oírlo tocar
Soy la esencia de la humanidad
Represento la promiscuidad
De las almas que enferman de paz
Me presento, soy la libertad
De tu cuerpo y no cobro con fe
Y ahora dime, ¿cuánto vale tu alma?
Y ahora pide, ¿dinero o placer?
¿Sueñas con curar el cáncer?
El SIDA fue cosa de Yahvé
Quiero estar junto a ti y alimentar tu boca
Roza tus pechos y araña tu piel
Bebe, embriaga tus vicios
Decide, ¿orgasmos o amor?
Quiero estar junto a ti y alimentar tu boca
Quiero estar junto a ti y alimentar tu boca
Quiero estar junto a ti y alimentar tu boca
Dame tu alma, no quiero morir
Y despierto al oírlo tocar
Soy la esencia de la humanidad
Represento la promiscuidad
De las almas que enferman de paz
Me presento, soy la libertad

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.
This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
-We could use a couple of incubuses right now -Azaak joked.- -If we had any instruments, I'd make your wish come true, for sure -mysertiously confirmed Sara.- -Really? You never cease to surprise me. -There's an old legend about a damned chord, the chord of the Devil. Anyone who plays it or listens to it activates the gates of evil. And they say Satan himself appears. It's like a summoning, but in music. -That's exactly what that poor jewish girl that just got fried confessed -said Juanillo-. Sometimes the warder kept them company and told them all sort of gossips. He felt very lonely, too. -Really? -asked Sara amused-. -Really -confirmed Juanillo-. She called her the tritone, the "Diabulus in Musica".
I sleep in a magic chord, and wake up when I hear it, I'm the essence of humanity.
I represent promiscuity of the souls that sicken with peace, I appear: I'm freedom of your body and I don't charge with faith!
Now tell me: how much does your soul cost? now tell me: money or pleasure? Do you dream with curing cancer? HIV was invention of Yahveh.
I wanna be with you and feed you, sometimes the pain sleeps in a song. And I know I'll die from decadent love, lugubrious kisses. Burn in me!
The Prince of the Sweet Sorrow I am and my blood feeds your being. The lust of my wings caresses your breasts and scratches your skin.
Drink! Intoxicate your vices. Decide! Orgasms or love. The only church that illuminates is the one that burns, the Nazarene sleeps in his Cross.
I wanna be with you and feed you, sometimes the pain sleeps in a song. And I know I'll die from decadent love, lugubrious kisses. Burn in me!
"Oh Lord, king of the sadness, angel of the sweet pain, drink the bile from my mouth, blaspheme, come and make love to me."
I wanna be with you and feed you, sometimes the pain sleeps in a song. And I know I'll die from decadent love, lugubrious kisses. Burn in me!
I wanna be with you and feed you, sometimes the pain sleeps in a song. If you play in my honor, I'll go out of this Hell, give me your soul, I don't want to die.
I run a Mago de Oz translation site that has lyrics to El Lago... check it out! thelandofoz.us
"Diabulus in Musica", or the Tritone, is a musical interval that spans three whole tones or six semitones. The two most basic types of tritone are the augmented fourth and the diminished fifth. Two tritones add up to 6 whole tones (or 12 semitones), usually a perfect octave.
One of the two strong dissonances in the diatonic scale, it was called diabulus in musica ("the Devil's interval") by some from the early music era to the baroque period. It was exploited heavily in the Romantic period as an interval of modulation for its ability to evoke a strong reaction by entering the key least related (retaining only two common tones, the least possible) to what occurs previous.
Right, so there's some music theory (and history) for you all. Clearly, Txus Di Fellatio is a well educated man.
