I'm not saying it was your fault
Although you could have done more

Oh, you're so naïve, yet so

How could this be done
By such a smiling sweetheart?
Oh, and your sweet and pretty face
In such an ugly way
Something so beautiful
Oh, that every time I look inside

I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
Well, she's still out to get me

And I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
She's still out to get me

I may say it was your fault
Because I know you could have done more

Oh, you're so naïve, yet so

How could this be done
By such a smiling sweetheart?
Oh, and your sweet and pretty face
In such an ugly way something so beautiful
Oh, that every time I look inside

I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
Well, she's still out to get me

And I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
She's still out to get me

Ooh

So how could this be done
By such a smiling sweetheart?

Oh, you're so naïve, yet so

It's such an ugly thing
For someone so beautiful
I'll die every time you're on his side

I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
Well, she's still out to get me

And I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be
She's still out to get me

Just don't let me down
So just don't let me down
Hold on to your kite
Just don't let me down
Just don't let me down
Hold on to your kite
Just don't let me down, oh
Just don't let me down
Hold on to this kite
Just don't let me down
Just don't let me down

I never saw the video......But I think he's talking about his girlfriend having a good guy friend who obviously likes her and she is acting 'naive' and oblivious to it. He's not fond of asking about it because they have been friends. He's not saying it's her fault, because she's not making any intentional moves but she could do more to get the guy friend to back off. She's out to get him because the whole situation is questionable and driving him crazy.....she takes the friends side, playing them against eachother.

"Just hold on to your kite. Just don't let me down" He's in the clouds/flying high being with her, but she better not let him down and actually be cheating.

    Love this song!

Ok, so I used this song as a supplementary English text and scored pretty high. I compared the lyrics to the video clip and my interpretation was that the girl is an alcoholic. This song is about how alcohol affects her so much that she cheats. "I'm not saying it was your fault, Although you could have done more" refers to the act of cheating, in the clip she was so intoxicated that when she had sex with that guy she was unable to say no. I know that she didn't intentionally cheat because of these lyrics and because in the video she is constantly searching for her boyfriend, mistaking him for other guys infact the lyrics "she's still out to get me" probably mean that she is trying to find him. "oh you're so naive yet so, How could this be done by such a smiling sweetheart" refers to her naivety to drinking and the effects alcohol has on her, "In such an ugly way" is how the alcohol turns her ugly, and lets all these ugly things like cheating happen. Finally " I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking" means that they both know she has a drinking problem, and they both know that he doesn't want to drive her away by asking her to stop.

So I hope that was helpful

it makes more sense if the lyrics are

    "die everytime I look inside"

    and

"die everytime you're on his side"

I don`t like stating the obvious, as I think the meaning of the lyrics is pretty clear. I just want to speak about my favourite part of the song.

"Such an ugly thing Someone so beautiful"

I think the contrast in the lyrics is absolutely gorgeous. Listen to the lead singer`s voice when he sings this part - it seems to me as if he is actually feeling what he says. It just.. feels so real. You can see the picture painted with words even if you have never lived a similar experience.

to me it sounds like she's cheating and he knows it, and she knows he knows, but he doesnt want to bring it up

lines that support this : "And everytime you're on his side" suggest cheating

"I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking" suggests what i said about him not wanting to bring it up

"Oh you're so naive yet so" naive in that she thought he wouldnt find out

i also think that this song is about a girl cheating on him, having seen the video this defintely seems to be the jist of the song.
but i also think that it is more about her intentions to cheat than her actually cheatin "true or false it may be but shes still out to get me", it does't matter whether she is cheating or not the point is that she wants him to think she is.

This song really reminds me of the situation of two people I know. The song is about a guy and a girl. The guy in the song really likes the girl but she doesn't feel the same way about him. The girl is totally into drinking and partying and participating in random hookups. The guy can't stand to watch this all happen. When she gets hurt, she goes crawling back to him. He's always there for her but it pains him to see what becomes of her. He wants more than anything to be with her and treat her right but she keeps messing up. He comforts her, thinking it will be different this time but she leaves him again. She becomes a burden on his heart.

I can't even begin to explain how well I sympathize with this situation.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
