As soon as you are able, woman I am willing
To make the break that we are on the brink of
My cup is on the table, my love is spilling
Waiting here for you to take and drink of

So if you're tired of the same old story
Oh, turn some pages
I will be here when you are ready
To roll with the changes, yeah, yeah

I knew it had to happen, felt the tables turnin'
Got me through my darkest hour
I heard the thunder clappin', felt the desert burnin'
Until you poured on me like a sweet sun shower

So if you're tired of the same old story
Oh, turn some pages
I will be here when you are ready
To roll with the changes, ooh

So if you're tired of the same old story
Oh baby, turn some pages
I will be here when you are ready
To roll with the changes, baby
Roll with the changes
Ah, you know you know you know you got to

(Keep on rollin') Oh yeah
(Keep on rollin') Ooh roll with the changes
Keep on rollin' (Keep on rollin', keep on rollin')
Oh, now roll with the changes, oh, baby

(Keep on rollin') Oh, babe (Keep on rollin')
Oh, you got to learn to roll with the changes
Got to, got to, got to, got to keep on rollin'
(Keep on rollin'), got to learn to, got to learn to
Got to learn to roll

(Keep on rollin', keep on rollin', ooh)
(Keep on rollin', keep on rollin', ooh)
(Keep on rollin', keep on rollin', ooh)
(Keep on rollin', keep on rollin', ooh, aah)

On the surface, it's a guy telling a girl he's tired of the way things are, he loves her and acknowledges she's not ready to make the same changes that he is, and is willing to wait for her to come around.

On a deeper level, it's saying that the things that stand in your way in life don't have to stop you from achieving what you want. You have the power to change whatever you need to in your life and that nothing need hold you back.

Along with 'Right Now' by Van Halen, one of the most inspirational songs I have ever heard...

    My Interpretation

I think the Christian imagery (a cup overflowing, rain in the desert) is too obvious to ignore. Viewed from that perspective, the first verse is God speaking to a woman - knock and the door shall be opened unto you.

The second verse is a straightforward testimonial - I'm a church musician, and I would play this song in a contemporary service anytime.

What a song. That piano-drum drive at the back, and the guitar notes are simply beautiful.

About the lyrics, clearly about asking a girl to take the chance. I think it's the simplest kind of love declaration, honestly telling just to have a leap of faith.

A whole lot of meaning and look at my signature. This song is who they are and my faorite truck dad had in the 1950's was a REO. I live 38 miles from REO, Indiana.

The organ/key board tapping is unreal and I get goose bumps when all this art work is heard around two to three times a say 130 miles South of Champaign/ Urbana, Illinois. One reply was just waiting for another for this super timeless hit!

this song is about Kevin telling this woman, that if she wants to change up to something new and exciting, she should try him, and roll with whatever comes along in the relationship.

Don't ever let life get you down. This is the most hopeful song I have ever heard. I am working at Post Pentagon Row for construction. This building was near completion just before September 11, 2001 and the head maintenance supervisor was on the roof when the plane hit the pentagon 1/4 mile away. The shockwaves knocked him down. All construction equipment was taken from here to the Pentagon to help our country. We get knocked down, we get back up and fight another day. This was a wonderful choice by GM in the days after /11.

This is a song about a guy wanting to express his love, and giving his lover a choice. It is about a physical relationship that has turned to something more. His lady has been in bad relationship after bad relationship. He is telling her that if she wants to break the cycle, she needs to look in a new direction. That direction is him.

He is not being forceful. He is laying down the facts the way he see's them.

"So if your tired of the same ol' story, turn some pages". "I'll be here when you are ready, to roll with the changes".

He is saying.. "Stop banging on the same door". "I may not be the right one, but I'm different from all the other guys you have dated". "Roll with the changes

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
