I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The first time i heard this song, i thought it was about rape. Now i think it's the jading that happens to most people in their late teens- an older man had a relationship with her, and she relished her sexual power over him. But now she sees it doesn't really mean anything.

i think it's about how sex changes you. and disappoints, in a way. like this song so much. it's pretty close, in its meaning, to 'sex changes' by dresden dolls. dd's song rocks harder, though.
