In the rain
I'm walking slowly.
There's a light
In your apartment. I
Don't know why
I ache for you

It's all right if
You're undecided or
If you're scared that
You might like it.
If it's true
I ache for you

There's no rhyme and
There's no reason.
You're the secret in the back of my skull
There's no logic
So please believe me
Love's confusing but it never gets dull

It's getting late,
Anticipation.
If we talk,
Communication,
Then you know
I ache for you

Yes, sometimes
It's just desire,
Another problem that you really don't want, but
Anyway, I ache for you

There's no rhyme
And there's no reason.
You know the secret in the back of my skull.
There's no logic
So please believe me.
Love's confusing but it never gets,
It never gets dull.
I ache for you.
I ache for you.

And I'm tired
Of so much wanting and
What if?
Don't even think it.
Why not?

There's no rhyme and
There's no reason.
Put a secret in the back of my skull (back of my skull)
There's no logic
So please believe me.
Love's confusing but it never gets dull (never gets dull).
There's no rhyme
And there's no reason.
You're the secret in the back of my skull.
There's no logic
So please believe me.
Love's confusing but it never gets dull,
It never gets dull.
It never gets dull.
I ache for you.
I ache for you.
I ache for you.
I ache for you.

HA. I love this song too. It makes me dream of happy stuff... and its sad aswell.

This song is 'just'. Really, i think people would love it.

I like how he changes the "Secret in the back of my skull" line. Um.. I listened to this song about 500000000 times over and over again. Yeah, its great.

its so warm, and fragile, and giddy, and melodic, so many things at once. Its delicate and wonderful............. cant explain it enough.

Ok, well now seriously... I love this song because the fact that he aches isn't something bad. The aching is the yearning for someone, and I love the line "there's no logic/so please believe me/my love's confusing/but it never gets dull." Love is what is it, and they should both enjoy it together. =D

One of the few Ben Lee songs I like.

Sincere, hopeful, pretty darn real. Can relate to this, and I'd probably sing it if the right girl came along.

It's the whole thought process thing. Sweet.

I definitely think that this song isnt about being in a relationship. In the first verse he talks about walking past her place and looking inside aching for her. Aching is painful.

Then: "and its alright if youre undecided or if youre scared" Saying that its okay if she isnt ready to feel the way he feels about her yet. But he still wants her.

then he goes on about how he doesnt know why he loves her, but he does. And that shes a secret in his mind.

I feel that if they were in a relationship he wouldnt need to walk past her apartment, or keep it a secret. And at the end he says that he ache's for her a few more times. The song feels like its hopeful, but not totally happy and loving.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
