Diamonds, glitter and trauma tears, with an unfriendly atmosphere.
We'll make our night, we'll make tonight.

Your potential is underused, your skin will break into jigsaw shaped pieces of meat, you'll fall
Apart.

You can save them all.
I believe that you can.
Even though you never listen.
You never listen.

But you are, the human, strobe.
You are the human strobe.

We are, like lightening, surrounded.
You are the human strobe.

Slaughtered moments and useless tales, encourage others to take the blame.
I love you when, you're not around.

You can save them all.
I believe that you can.
Even though you never listen.
You never listen.

Let's take aim, you're looking the other way.
The right target, she's looking the other way.
There's no wreckage, I'll help you to do it right, tonight we'll make it ours.

You are, the human, strobe.
You are the human strobe.

We are, like lightening, surrounded.
You are the human strobe.

Let's take aim, I'll help you to do it right.
Tonight we'll make it ours.

You are, the human, strobe.
You are the human strobe.

We are, like lightening, surrounded.
You are the human strobe.

i think this song is about somebody you admire but dislike in person. but then again biffy always seem to use vocals as an instrument rather than to get a message across.

This is my opinion (and is probably wrong): I think this song is about someone who has a great deal of pressure but on them to be the light (strobe light- get it?) for everyone and save them. And they have to appear all like glitter (like there's nothing wrong and they're perfect etc.) but inside they aren't like that and feel traumatic and stuff. And the person that makes them feel invinsable and makes them happy isn't there anymore so they're dreaming of that person singing that song to them or something.

i think this is a awesome song, a great way to start the new album.. the chorus is disco like, just makes you want to sing along and dance.. like most good biffy songs the chorus is so powerful.. these guys were hitting out crazy beats long before the likes of franz ferdinand..

This is a wonderful, though slightly confusing song. When i first hear it, i thought the lyrics said "You are the human straw..." I must be going deaf. sweat

I believe this song is talking about being insane, being inside an insylum (Spelling?) and, you know, the music video has a lot to do with this opinion.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
