Every time we lie awake
After every hit we take
Every feeling that I get
But I haven't missed you yet

Every roommate kept awake
By every sigh and scream we make
All the feelings that I get
But I still don't miss you yet

Only when I stop to think about it

I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?

Every time we lie awake
After every hit we take
Every feeling that I get
But I haven't missed you yet

Only when I stop to think about it

I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?

Only when I stop to think
About you, I know
Only when you stop to think
About me, do you know?

I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?
You hate everything about me
Why do you love me?

I hate
You hate
I hate
You love me

I hate everything about you
Why do I love you?

I think this song is about a guy who is in love with a girl, but at the same time he hates her for something. He resents her for something she does or something she is, but he loves her. And he's angry that he can't stop loving her, no matter how much he may resent her for whatever it is.

    That's my piece anyway.

a song can mean whatever you want it to mean. it may have been written about a love/hate relationship, anti-flag, but if someone wants to interpret it differently; let them.

    My Interpretation

This song is about abusive relationships. Whether it be between a parent and child, a boyfriend and girlfriend or any other derivative of these scenarios, and whether the abusive be sexual, physical or verbal, the victim hates how they are being treated, but has this irrational love for whoever is treating them that way. This song is about the confusion caused by these conflicting feelings within the victim.

so as we may or may not know Adam went to rehab due to some things about drugs. i think that this song is about that. the lyrics "every time we lie awake, after every hit we take" hit meaning a dose? of drugs. then it has some lyrics then goes into the chorus. "i hate everything about you" Adam hates the drugs "why do i love you" of course drugs can be addicting so he continues to take them and then there's the bridge and there's the part that goes "you hate everything about me" the drugs are destroying his body all that bad stuff "why do you love me" why are you so addicting. anyways that's what i see. unlike some peeps calling him a whiny b*tch about a break up.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
