in nervous convulsion
crouches infant ape
trembling in mother's shit
cage eyes tear less
filled with contempt
clinic mask experiment with life and death
smell lingering noxious
mixed scent anxiety
omnipotent doctor grinds the cage door revealing
love's primal instinct taken away
the tiny face terrified
rant and rave smash your head against the cage
vacuum clicks on high
conscious through the pain
pass off as humane
white coat seems so clean
most dirt bleached out
out of greed
force the point of habit
eyes burn in a rabbit
push the pain test button
spine's cut
trip mucous inflection
more die pills each day
what goes around comes back stronger
tap into the brain
break the skull again
smash price research rat
lab rent pain in flesh
more ill drug store sales
sharpen the knife
emphasis on money
new disease everyday
end is seen and coming
research turns its back to gain
crush the spine genocide
kitten drags its dead limb
continuing all suffering
it will come back and win
shock paralyse
turn trauma burns out the will to live
the lying message
5 year genocide 1945
suicide vivisect VI

Such a sad song, but with a great melody. It paints such a vivid picture.

This song is about the horrors of vivisection. It's message is vivisection is not only cruel to animals but also has not proven to be very helpful in curing human dieseases. Also some of the lyrics are from the animals point of view, this is also what the name of the band means. Please learn more about vivisection!

The song's about animal torture; specifically vivisection. And yes, the title does imply the "666" thing - they've admitted to that at some time or another, I'm pretty sure.

Ahhh, I love this song. I remember doing a project on vivisection last year for school and I had a book titled 'Vivisection is scientific fraud' I borrowed off of my dad to help me. Viewing the film clip for this song, I noticed that a lot of the images have been taken from this book. The only reason I ended up searching for the film clip was after watching The Plague Dogs and reading that an audio from the movie was inserted in the video. "I hope you make sure we're properly dead before you start, old rip beak." Loved that line so much... Amazing song from a very eccentric band. Love it, love it, love it.

Now, everyone go out and watch The Plague Dogs on youtube.com. Very relevant movie. =]

I know in the 80's, Ogre was really into PETA and animal rights, but it seems like he may have also been alluding to some vivisection done on humans too. At the end he mentions genocide and 1945. Apparently vivisection without anesthesia was performed on prisoners of war during the Second Sino-Japanese War from 1937-1945. Also, Nazi Joseph Mengele, aka Angel of Death, performed extremely demented and cruel vivisection on Holocaust victims. That would also explain why Ogre used the term "genocide" since animal vivisection doesn't really have anything to do with genocide. It sounds like he's referring to that too, and possibly even victims of Ritual Abuse. Anyone else have any info on this?

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
