Everytime I think of you, I always catch my breath
And I'm still standing here, and you're miles away
And I'm wonderin' why you left
And there's a storm that's raging through my frozen heart tonight

I hear your name in certain circles, and it always makes me smile
I spend my time thinkin' about you, and it's almost drivin' me wild
And there's a heart that's breaking down this long distance line tonight

I ain't missing you at all since you've been gone away
I ain't missing you, no matter what the world might say

There's a message in the wire, and I'm sending you this signal tonight
You don't know how desperate I've become
And it looks like I'm losing this fight
In your world I have no meaning, though I'm trying hard to understand
And it's my heart that's breaking down this long distance line tonight

Chorus:
I ain't missing you at all since you've been gone away
I ain't missing you, no matter what my friends say

And there's a message that I'm sending out, like a telegraph to your soul
And if I can't bridge this distance, stop this heartbreak overload

(chorus)

I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you, I can lie to myself

And there's a storm that's raging through my frozen heart tonight

(chorus)

Ain't missing you, I ain't missing you
I ain't missing you, I can lie to myself
Ain't missing you, I ain't missing you
I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you
I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you, ain't missing you, oh no
No matter what my friends might say, I ain't missing you... (to fade)

This song is pretty much about how much you love someone, and you can't seem to get them off your mind and you keep trying to tell yourself "I'm nt missing them, I'm not missing them......." but yet they really do miss that person so much they can't help it!!

Now THAT is what I call true love, something alot of kids could actually learn about "THIS is love, not getting a new "boyfriend" every two weeks"

I love that he sounds completely in denial, that's probably why this song is one of the better ballads from the 80s, because the lyrics arent all that typical.

    Very good lines:

"Everytime I think of you, I always catch my breath"

"I hear your name in certain circles, and it always makes me smile"

This is about a love sick guy trying to get over the girl he loved. He's trying everything he can, even telling himself that he doesn't miss her when he does, she is still all he thinks about. Simply touching for anyone who has ever been there.

Yes, very touching. I love the sarcasm in the chorus. Great delicate, simple song with beautiful simple piano arppegio and an all round classic 80's love song to it.

"I hear your name in certain circles, and it always makes me smile" - How poignant is that lyric!

The song is hard not to relate to. All I want is to be with her, but she doesn't want the samething. The worst part is that there is nothing I can do to change it.

Yes, it is an amazing song

My girlfriend and self split up last October, although we had not planned to do so. Since then I have not been able to get her, or this song, out of my mind. I listen to it over and over again.

    So, I keep asking myself.....

'And I'm still standing here, and you're miles away And I'm wonderin' why you left'

And every day I feel that.........

'there's a storm that's raging through my frozen heart tonight'

I try to move on and convince myself that I don't miss her now..........but I do so much

So - and this is the defing line in the song........... at least for me.........

    ' I ain't missing you, I can lie to myself '

For me it is a message from my deceased wife as it suddenly played after her departure and plays on extraordinary occasions.

    this song is amazing.

when it was first released, my dad was working long hours at work and dedicated it over the radio to my mum.

they split up last year, and since then i haven't been able to listen to it.

i've recently discovered it after splitting up with someone who i cared for more than she'll ever know...

i can relate to this song so much. you try your hardest to move on, you pretend to not miss her because you don't want to miss her... but you know deep down, she's all you think about.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
