i could have sworn that with the new songmeanings layout (like a year or so ago) it came with some new features too. i thought there was some 'trusted user' sort of thing that when you submit 50 song lyrics you were then able to edit any song lyric by any user. is it possible to do this or am i crazy?
you're crazy. and you stink.
ugh, get away from me.

Call it peace or call it treason; call it love or call it reason, but i ain't marchin' any more.
how do i get to be a trusted member
i already have 50+ submitted lyrics
I've updated your account. It should have been done automatically by the system, but something went wrong.

am i supposed to be able to edit any lyric i want now? or not
I'll bet if you tried it, either you'd be able to or not be able to.
You can only edit lyrics you have submitted. Mods can edit all lyrics on the site, so if you have corrections to songs that weren't submitted by you, please submit the request in the report thread.

oh, i thought this site wanted to make it easy to fix the sometimes incomprehensible lyrics people come up with
you still can do this by complaining to the mods. i know i do :D

she was a good girl & it felt great to be a liar.
And I'm very glad you do, killstar. :p
Believe it or not, Henry, if everyone was allowed to edit all lyrics, there would be a lot more spam than there already is. Imagine the chaos that would be created if people who hate band A were allowed to edit the lyrics of band A? It's bad enough I often have to reject submitted lyrics people attempt submitting with fake lyrics saying how crappy (insert band here) is. There'd be ridiculous wars moreso than there already are in the comments of some bands' songs.
So yeah. Please submit any errors, trolls, or whatever to the report thread, or send me or any of the other mods a PM. We're here to help.
