The Shins - A great indie band. Besides making fantastic music (I love James Mercer), The Shins have become rather popular for an indie band, and whilst not becoming sell-outs, have become one of the faces of indie rock.

Belle and Sebastian makes fantastic music, but I've not listened to much of it.

And I've never heard of Nana Grizol.

Belle and Sebastian is one of my favorite bands, and I have most of their albums.  I think Stuart Murdoch is a fantastic songwriter but not much of a singer, and that Isobel Campbell and Stevie Jackson are both terrible singer-songwriters.

Belle & Sebastian are amazing.  I could listen to their stuff forever.  I've heard of the others but I don't know if I've heard any of their stuff.
