Blind Pilot is an Indie folk/Indie pop band; its members are Israel Nebeker (vocals, guitar), Ryan Dobrowski (drums, percussion), Luke Ydstie (bass, backing vocals), Kati Claborn (banjo, dulcimer, backing vocals), Ian Krist (vibraphones), and Dave Jorgensen (trumpet, keyboard). The band’s label is Expunged Records.

Blind Pilot got its start in 2005, originating in Astoria, Oregon. 3 Rounds and a Sound, the band’s debut album (July 2008), reached #13 on Billboard Top Digital Albums chart. Drummer Ryan Dobrowski did the artwork for both 3 Rounds and a Sound and We Are the Tide.

In 2008, Blind Pilot toured Europe, opening for Counting Crows and The Hold Steady, returning to the U.S. to tour with (and open for) The Decemberists. On January 25, 2013, Blind Pilot made its television debut on the Ellen show; it was the entertainer’s birthday episode where she showcased her favorite bands.
